Even after being in power for almost 17 years, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik often faces criticism for his lack of knowledge in Odia. Well, what more we can say? There has not been a single CM in the history of independent India who does not speak the language of the state and still gets to rule the state uninterrupted for 17 long years — except Naveen Patnaik, that is.
The Odia ghost has haunted Naveen Patnaik for so long, that he learnt some odia words to keep this ghost away. Mostly Naveen’s dictionary is about 9 Odia words that he has hardwired in his mind and speaks whenever it’s necessary. These kind words are “Bhai o’ Bhauni mane! Apana mananku samastanku mora namaskar”.
We all know Naveen speaks in English and Hindi fluently but in the past Naveen has adressed the crowd in three different languages. Yes! it’s freaking 3 different languages.
Naveen shuts all of his critics mouth in just one speech and this time it was without a script. He spoke a number of Odia lines without any script and when he addresses the crowd in their language, suddenly one can notice the exploding noise of claps in the arena.
Without wasting any of your time, here is the video in which you have to decide Naveen’s extempore is awesome or somewhat relatively the same old boring stuff.
