Seems like the raging death case of Garposh student Shreyas Kesharwani is refusing to die anytime soon!
Recently a huge rally has been organised where various of students and young mass protested against this alleged killing and demanded for CBI inquiry to President of India through Rourkela ADM Monisha Banerjee.
And once again after a week of silence, another organisation named RJM[Rourkela Jagaran Manch] has approached PM Modi through a letter and requested him to make a SIT or CBI inquiry for Shreyas’s death.
Not only that, the organisation president & secretary Mr. Amitabh Samal & Mr. Afroz Ahmad has requested for a penalty on Chaitanya college, Visakhapatnam and emphasized on making stricter anti-ragging rules in campus. Also to make a permanent team at every district administration office to handle such cases in case of inaction from college authority after the complaint.
Shreyas’s death sparked protests in his hometown Sambalpur, Rourkela and all across the state after his family held the college management responsible for his death as it could not prevent ragging.
Despite strict anti-ragging laws coming into force, there are several students who fall prey to both mental and physical harassment every year.
