What politicians do in the parliament apart from discussion?
Yes! And also this….
And for all this physical hard work above they get paid a huge amount of money monthly as a salary and also the govt of India pays crores of rupees on everyday house function. And from where the money comes from? Of course it’s run by the Tax that we the ordinary people give every month thinking that it will be used for the development of country. But it’s not!
In the last parliament session our so called representatives even failed to discuss on the bills(forget about bill pass). As per the First Post the productivity of Lok Sabha this Winter Session was 14 percent whereas productivity of Rajya Sabha was 20 percent!
Everyday around Rs.6 Crore & Rs.2.5 Lakh costs to run the parliament and the politicians tremendously and with their amazing bravery wasted our money and time by disrupting the parliament function on daily basis in every session.
But what Odisha MP Baijayant Panda has done that was completely remarkable! He decided to return his salary due to time wasted in parliament for disruption. No No .. Wait!! What?? Is he mad? Well certainly not. But he’s more sensible enough than any politicians of this country to realize his responsibilities and accountability to the people of this great state and great country; that how much it costs to the general people like you and me.
Baijayant `Jay’ Panda made an impression infront of entire nation and became a trending topic on social media and political circles after his announcement on twitter that he’ll return a part of salary “proportional to the time wasted and lost”. His tweet has been retweeted 2500 times, more than any of the Odisha politicians including both ruling and opposition party.
Winter session of Parlmt ends after passing the disabilities bill. Phew! As usual, i’ll be returning salary proportional to time wasted/lost

Praised by people like Kiran Bedi and many other politicians & bureaucrats for his decision, Baijyant Panda has just started a new revolution against the disruptive politicians who find it legitimate to shout inside the parliament but not find it logical enough to let the house work. Odisha is fortunate enough to have such leaders like Panda.
