This news seems to be a daily routine in our life now. Everyday hearing about Mob-Lynching & the illegal actions by cow vigilantes without any proof and there are lot of cow protection group who resort to violence. What happen in capital BBSR is just another proof.
The activists of Bajrang Dal detained two persons Ramesh Shah and Vimal Kumar in Bhubaneshwar Railway Station on Wednesday night and brutally thrashed them for illegal transportation of cows. Activists claimed that the cows were being transported for slaughtering and Animal Welfare Board alleged railway officials’ connivance in such unlawful act.
Around 20 cows were rescued from Kochuveli-Guwahati Superfast Express at Bhubaneshwar Railway station. The train stood on the track for around 2 hours following the tension. As per the reports, the cattle were kept in two parcel vans and were being sent to Guwahati by a Noida-based dairy farm, as claimed by the two persons who were detained.
“The activists handed over the two persons to police while three other persons including a veterinary doctor fled away in fear. The station master and train driver were also brutally beaten up as they tried to rescue the transporters. RPF officials rushed to the spot and took the matter under control following which normalcy was restored. The beaten employees are admitted to a private hospital.”
The manager of the dairy farm has filed a complaint and the case has been registered by GRP and it has started an enquiry to find out the reason behind the transportation.
