It was supposed to be an usual Sunday morning but it was not. It was the day when PM Modi’s convoy was passing through the streets of Bhubanwswar at a leisurely pace. He was surrounded by his mighty security personnel. And a massive crowd waiting at the sideways of the barricade just to see a glimpse of the most energetic PM this country has seen so far.
But nobody had imagined that Mr. Modi would step out of his bulletproof SUV breaking all protocols and walk closer to barricade to reciprocate greetings from the crowd. Special Protection Group personnel following Mr. Modi were expecting him to stop there and get back to the vehicle. But he kept walking on Jayadev Vihar road. The SPG guards had a tough time to give a cover to him.
Along with him, thousands of onlookers, who had already broken the barricade, started matching his steps. Seeing PM amidst them, the vociferous supporters resorted to frenzied sloganeering, ‘Modi, Modi’. Amidst all this madness there seems a white piece of paper waiving from the crowd. It was a letter from a woman standing somewhere in the crowd.
It was no doubt that this letter was meant for the PM. But what’s more shocking was, PM Modi showed interest and received the letter from the hands of the woman and passed it to one of his guards to keep it in his own SUV. No one knows what’s inside that letter. It may be a letter of appreciation, a complaint, a cry for help who knows.
It’s not the first time PM Modi has done this. In the recent past PM Modi got a letter from a poor girl of Odisha and extended help to proceed through her marriage. Who knows that this time PM Modi will change another girl’s destiny. But one thing is sure for him every request and very voice matters!
